DJ Black Coffee mourns friend’s death
Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Black Coffee is mourning the death of his childhood friend and fellow musician Victor Mbotho.
The internationally acclaimed artist took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to pay tribute to Mbotho, who passed away earlier in the week.
Sharing a nostalgic throwback photo of himself on stage with Mbotho and two other childhood friends, Camagu Mabuya and Mnqobi Shoba, Black Coffee expressed his heartbreak with a simple message.
“We lost a good friend in you Mbotho. RIP bhuti🙏🏿🕊️,” he wrote.
In the old photo, the four young men could be seen performing together on stage in matching suits.

While details surrounding Mbotho’s cause of death and funeral arrangements have not yet been made public, fans and fellow artists have flooded Black Coffee’s comment section with messages of support and condolences.
