Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams cements his career with more prestigious recognition.
On Thursday night, it was announced that the goalkeeper was nominated for three Confederation of African Football Awards.
The categories of the nominations are Player of the Year, CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, and CAF Interclub Player of the Year.
Williams was the first African goalkeeper nominated for Fifa’s Ballon d’Or Yashin Trophy recently.
Taking to social media, the goalkeeper’s nods were announced; the post was captioned with – “Congratulations to our founder @ronwen30 on his @caf_online nominations for Interclub Player of the year, Goalkeeper of the year and Player of the year. The CAF awards take place on the 16th of December. His work not only on the pitch is exemplary, and we can attest to him being as fearless and passionate off the pitch as well. We are forever proud Ronwen and all the best!”
