DJ Warras murder case: Suspect identified and charged with premeditated killing
There has been a significant development in the murder case of popular DJ and media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, who was killed in the Johannesburg CBD earlier this month
One of the two suspects linked to the case has now been formally charged with premeditated murder.
The suspects appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 24 December 2025, following their arrest earlier in the week.
During proceedings, Victor Mthethwa Majola was charged with the murder of the late DJ, while charges against the second suspect were provisionally withdrawn.
According to reports, Majola will remain behind bars and is expected to return to court in January 2026, where he will apply for bail.
The court heard that investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events that led to DJ Warras’ death.
Confirmation of the suspect’s identity quickly spread across social media, triggering strong reactions from members of the public.
