Prince Kaybee plans to cycle from Johannesburg to Durban

South African music producer and DJ Prince Kaybee has set his sights on an ambitious new goal, cycling from Johannesburg to Durban.

Taking to X, the Gugulethu hitmaker shared his determination to complete the long-distance journey, revealing that he has already calculated the logistics.

“I wanna start training to cycle from Johannesburg to Durban, when I do my calculations, I can potentially do 600km in 6 days on a bicycle if I am fit enough. This is something I want to achieve, IT HAS TO HAPPEN!” he tweeted.

The proposed trip, which spans roughly 600 kilometres depending on the chosen route, would require both endurance and consistent training.

However, Prince Kaybee appears confident that with the right preparation, the challenge is achievable.

When one X user asked whether the cycling journey would be motivated by financial gain or health reasons, the DJ clarified that it is purely for enjoyment.

“It’s for fun,” he responded.

His announcement quickly sparked excitement among fans, with many offering encouragement and creative ideas to elevate the experience.

One supporter reassured him that the goal was within reach, writing: “That’s doable my king. You don’t even need a lot of training for that, unless you wanna do it in 3 or 4 days.”

Another follower suggested turning the ride into a charitable initiative.

They proposed selling participation slots for the final 100 kilometres, allowing fans to pay to join the last stretch of the journey.

Alternatively, they recommended inviting individuals or companies to donate R1,000 per kilometre cycled, a model that could potentially raise over R500,000 for students pursuing studies in music or other creative arts fields.

The fan also floated the idea of concluding the trip with a “KB Welcome Concert” in Durban to celebrate the achievement.
