Cassper Nyovest explains why he stopped taking Nota seriously

South African rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest has finally opened up about the moment he stopped taking controversial music commentator Nota Baloyi seriously.

Cassper addressed the issue in a post on X, where he reacted to a troll’s statement.

The rapper revealed how he completely changed how he viewed the outspoken commentator.

Nota said he owns Billiato(a company I own) and that I am his brand ambassador. I stopped acknowledging him as a fully functioning human being that day. He may be WELL informed about a lot of other things but yena he is not WELL,” Cassper wrote.

Cassper acknowledged that Nota can sometimes be knowledgeable about aspects of the music business, he strongly questioned his state of mind over the claims surrounding Billiato.

His blunt response has since fueled further debate online, with fans split between laughing at the situation and discussing the complicated relationship between the two personalities.

Over the years, Nota has repeatedly made headlines for his outspoken views on artists, relationships and the South African entertainment industry, often drawing criticism and backlash for his remarks.

Cassper, on the other hand, has largely focused on expanding his music career and business portfolio, which includes major partnerships and investments linked to the Billiato brand.
