A Mpumalanga pastor will be spending three decades in prison after he was convicted for assaulting young boys.

The Witbank regional court on Monday sentenced the thirty-eight-year-old pastor, Sthembiso Nathaniel Kubheka to 30 years’ imprisonment.

He was convicted on one count of rape and four counts of sexual assault.

The provincial police commissioner of Mpumalanga, Lt-Gen Mondli Zuma, was pleased with the huge years in prison which the court gave to the pastor after he was convicted of sexually assaulting boys.

“The police were notified about Kubheka’s actions and they investigated the matter after cases were opened, Kubheka was arrested on January 27 2016.”

“During trial, he could not succeed in defending himself against overwhelming evidence brought against him, hence his well-deserved sentence … ” police said.
