Gavin Hunt, former Bidvest Wits coach is now open for offers from local clubs since the conclusion of the season.
Hunt run as the head coach at Bidvest Wits ended last weekend, after the end of Absa Premiership 2019/20 season. However, he has been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs, following Ernst Middendorp departure after he was sacked on Wednesday.
Hunt was recently asked if there has been any approach from Chiefs who already sacked Ernst Middendorp and his assistant – Shaun Bartlett, Hunt said “nothing is happening at the moment.”
“No one has phoned me‚ nothing is happening‚” said Hunt
“I need to work because this is my life. It is difficult because this is the first time in 30 years that I don’t have anything to do with my life.”
However, he said he is open to any discussions brought by any club interested in signing him.
“I need to work because this is my life. It is difficult because this is the first time in 30 years that I don’t have anything to do with my life.”
“Under normal circumstances I will be planning for pre-season and busy on the phone with players and stuff like that.”
“But it is what it is and we will see what happens.”
