Pastor Timothy Omotoso is expected to tender his application for a bail at the Port Elizabeth High Court.
His legal team has also put down an application for the court to begin an inquiry into what caused the delays in the case.
For three years, the Nigerian televangelist of Jesus Dominion International Church has been waiting for trial.
Omotoso has been faced with about 97 charges, which include human trafficking, racketeering, and the rape of women and girls from his church.
His legal team has also put down an application pleading to the court to put aside the evidence of the two witnesses who have testified so far.
Omotoso’s co-accused – Lusanda Sulani and Zukiswa Sitho are both out on bail.
