DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small calls out fake page using their names to lure unknown women into human trafficking.
According to the fake post, it advertised that there would be a music video shoot in Mozambique this month end and ten women are needed stating they should come along with a passport.
The post says the women will be paid R6000, R3000 before departure and R3000 after the music video is shot. Transport, accommodation and clothing will be paid for by the scammers.
Another element which destroys the legitimacy of the post is the ladies are required to have a passport, if the interested ladies do not own one, then the scammers will organise those for them at Home Affairs illegally.
“Kabza da Small and DJ Maphorisa are going to be shooting a video in Mozambique month-end…(We) need ten ladies that have passports, if you don’t a passport I have a guy at home affairs that can make a plan for them,” read the post.
The post continued: “We’re shooting a music video for a track that hasn’t come out yet…I’ll need sizes for the ladies, heels, sneakers and dress sizes. Every lady is getting paid 6k…3k before we leave and 3k after we return. Flights, accommodation and clothes will all be paid for.”
Reacting to this, DJ Maphorisa calls out everyone most especially the women to avoid falling victim into such act as he had no intention of doing such and he did not make such post.
He warned them of the fake social media post.
The DJ also said some parents have called him six times asking if it’s true.
He responded: “Fake Fake Fake Fake please. Girls don’t even try!!! got 6 calls from parents asking if it’s true “Hell Nahh ” No No No No.”
