It is a great news as the star worked for SABC for close to four decades and her retirement brought sadness to a lot of her viewers.
While she hoped for a quiet exit, Noxolo got the exact opposite of her wish.
Mzansi made the veteran trend for days as they honoured her and celebrated her legacy.
Television Audience Measurement Service (TAMS) report stated 3,832,686 people tuned in to hear Noxolo say “Ndi nithanda nonke emakhaya” one last time.
The impressive number constituted a third of all TV views during that time slot on the day.
