Distruction Boyz have opened up to BET about their nominations at the forthcoming BET Awards which is set to take place June 25th.
Speaking to BET, Que of DB says the nomination says a lot about the duo as they have worked hard a lot and have been true to the movement because Gqom is really the only sound they’ve had to work with. On how they started Gqom, Que said a lot of factor come to play such as where you grew up, the people you grew up with and the songs you grew up listening to. He attributed their success to the fact that they grew up in Durban townships.
