Considering half of the music industry either has a deal with Sony or a deal with Universal, Cassper Nyovest has revealed he may be bowing to pressure soon. The hip hop mogul addressed the fact that he is struggling with airplay and charts this year.
It is widely known that Cassper Nyovest has never had a number 1 single in his entire career and this is due to the fact that he is unsigned. Cassper said maybe it is time he signs a deal because of the machine behind major players such as Sony and Universal.
I’m not signed to Sony. I’ll never have a number 1 single in my career unless I share the cake with a major label. They run the charts, from iTunes to radio. They have all the data, the man power , the connections. Maybe it’s time I did. The next step definitely needs muscle. https://t.co/eMERAKtPq2

The rapper also admitted that he may have reached his peak as far as being independent goes and the next step may involve profit sharing
I’m not bothered. Just answering the question. I’ve reached my peak as far as indi labels go though. The next step of growth needs a bigger machine and better structure. I know people are shook by me just tweeting this cause a major label partnership plus my fans base is trouble. https://t.co/otCXi3VvMr

I did it without Sony. 3 albums deep. All platinum. You don’t need a major label to build a career. You can do it yourself. I just think I need to sell a piece of the pie to maximize profit. It’s a business theory. Build it till it’s worth something & sell. If you know you know. https://t.co/zaDBFxtl53

Apparently a billionaire has already told Cassper that owning everything is a temporary solution
A billionaire once told me owning 100% is a temporary solution. He said “build it till it’s worth something and sell it or sell a part of it”. I think there are many ways you can do it but this one I am definitely going to try.

I am one of those people who have seen the results of putting in the work for years before seeing the fruits. A strong foundation is better than an easy come up. Trust the process.

Bare business is business. It’s the music business. When we try and educate, they say we’re complaining. https://t.co/yy75YJx9QJ

I know some people see me as this genius who changed the game but I’m yet to figure it out thoroughly. I’m very very keen to learn. I have a vision though and I have done so well for myself. This is only the beginning.

He also admitted that the major labels are closing on him and it’s becoming harder.
I am so interested in this conversation about indie and major labels but I’ve realized that it offends some niggas who are signed and they are my peers. Truth is, the game is filthy right now and Major record labels have closed down on us. Only the Strong and smart will survive. https://t.co/3lfuz4kR4N

Cassper’s new single peaked at number 3 on iTunes chart and he is no where on radio charts.
His foe, AKA has reacted to his tweets.
Winners win. Losers complain. ?
