Residents around Mabopane highway in Gauteng were able to quench their long thirst for alcohol on Monday.
In viral videos that made waves yesterday on social media, some people were seen rejoicing after they were able to successfully steal beer from a castle Lite truck that lost its load on the Mabopane highway in Gauteng.
Apparently, the truck contained alcohol.
The people around the scene of the incident rushed towards the truck and served themselves beer.
Videos of people celebrating after after the incident were shared on social media by various users.
Although, it was noticed in some of the videos that police officials were at the scene of the accident as motorists and residents rushed to grab beer despite the alcohol ban during lockdown level 3.

The ban on alcohol was introduced by President Cyril Ramphosa but, nothing has been said so far about when the ban will be lifted.
