A law firm known as Ulrich Roux and Associates have said the Gauteng government has committed to reaching an amicable settlement as regards the outstanding payments to families that were affected by the Life Esidimeni tragedy.

Over two years ago, Dikgang Moseneke. former Deputy Chief Justice has ordered that more than a million rand be paid to each and every of the families of more than 144 psychiatric patients who died after they were illegally removed from the Life Esidimeni facility.
