ANC KZN: Gumede remains innocent until proven guilty


The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal said Zandile Gumede, embattled former eThekwini mayor remains innocent until proven guilty.

Some hours back, Gumede was sworn in as an MPL in the KZN legislature.

Currently, she is being investigated for corruption and fraud, but not proven guilty yet.

Nhlakanipho Ntombela, ANC KZN’s provincial spokesperson said:

Gumede has been removed from the eThekwini metro in order to ensure the stability of that municipality and utilising her experience in other levels of the organisation.”
