An announcement was made by power utility that Eskom will go on with implementation of Stage 2 load-shedding from 9am through to 10pm, and this is because the power system is still severely constrained.
Eskom is set to keep up with load-shedding on Thursday.
Since Tuesday, implementing rolling blackouts was initiated by Eskom.
Eskom said:
“Unplanned breakdowns stand at 12,1000MW of capacity adding to the 4,350MW currently out on planned maintenance.”
It also said three generation units have started working, three more units tripped and two out of the three have returned to service.
Eskom added that the unit at Tutuka is yet to return to service.
