A video has gone viral showing an alleged policeman under the influence of alcohol.
In the video, the suspected police man was heavily intoxicated and armed.
He was bent over the seat of a car, knees on the ground with his firearm on his hip.
This video came a week after the ban on the sales and consumption of alcohol was lifted.
The viral video has has received so many comments from the social media causing a debate on removal of alcohol ban.
The person behind the camera was heard saying alcohol should be banned.
He was also heard in the video telling the officer to take his firearm which was placed on his bent back.
The location where the video was taken in not known yet.
The Police Minister, Bheki Cele is yet to confirm if the man in the video is truly a policeman or not.
Cele’s spokesperson, Lirandzu Themba decided to not make any comment on the issue till it is verified that the man is truly a policeman.

However, the Government is bothered about the adverse effects of alcohol abuse relating to murder and fatal road accident which had been recurrent since the phasing in of level 2 lockdown which allowed the consumption of alcohol.
In Gauteng, over 820 people were arrested over the weekend, for various crimes but the predominant one was drunk and reckless driving.
Mpumalanga also recorded 48 crashes over the weekend, which killed nine, left 54 seriously injured and 46 slightly injured.
Police Minister, Bheki Cele encouraged the police to be extra tough on people that drink alcohol and drive.
