COVID-19 in SA: 238 new deaths recorded with small spike in infections

South Africa has encountered a little spike in both new COVID-19 infections and recoveries.

This is according to the Department of Health latest report, it said there has been a little spike in COVID-19 infections compared to previous days.

The department mentioned that the country has recorded just over 2,400 new infections since Friday compared to 1,815 new infections the previous day.

However, recoveries have taken its toll higher, with the number of patients testing negative for COVID-19 hitting 2,759.

Also, according to report, the number of COVID-19 related deaths has jumped to 238.

Currently, South Africa is having 71,876 active cases of the disease to deal with and having 536,694 recoveries.
