A startling discovery was made on Sunday after eThekwini municipal workers came across the skeletal remains of an unknown person.
The remains were found near Chatsworth police station, south of Durban, on Sunday.
The eThekwini municipal workers were working on storm water pipes in a thick bushy area close to the police station when they came across the bones.

According to police spokesperson, Capt Nqobile Gwala, members of Durban Search and Rescue were immediately deployed to the bushy area where the remains were found.
Capt Nqobile Gwala also added that the police will investigate this matter.
“An inquest docket was opened at Chatsworth police station for investigation,” she said.
