Tshediso Matona, former Eskom CEO said that Eskom will continue load-shedding as it represents part of its lifeblood.
He said the power utility have been faced with issues even before his arrival as Eskom’s CEO.
“We knew the problems, the problems had been well established and what was required were solutions, what were the solutions to these problems and not to enquire into them.”

“They had been known, they had been there for years prior to my arrival. I did say that we were forecasting that load-shedding would occur for a period to come, I couldn’t say five years because I was optimistic that we would resolve the load-shedding problem earlier than five years,” he said.
