Orlando Pirates have declared that they’ve been briefed on the incident and condemn violence against women. They said no further comment on the matter would be dropped
After reports were made about Orlando Pirates winger – Thembinkosi Lorch’s arrest, the club released a statement and said they are well aware of what happened, but will give room for the authorities to handle the matter.
However, according to report, the Bucs and Bafana Bafana has been granted bail after he was apprehended for assaulting his girlfriend in Midrand, Johannesburg.

According to a source, Lorch allegedly strangled his girlfriend on Sunday. This led to his arrest on Monday night before he was granted bail on Tuesday.
The club said they detest such act of violence and will take the matter with strong hands.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is aware of an alleged incident involving Thembinkosi Lorch,” read the statement on the club’s website.
“This matter is currently in the hands of the authorities. As a club we cannot comment further except to say that we condemn all forms of violence, especially violence against women and children. We support the rights of each and every individual but we strongly condemn violence.”
“This country has witnessed some of the most appalling cases of GBV and we do not take this matter lightly, however we need to respect the process undertaken by the authorities and allow the law to take its course.”
