Larsen has confirmed his exit from Polokwane City at his own accord. Although, he was handed the opportunity to continue with them till next season as they get involved in the GladAfrica Championship.

Polokwane City finished the league with 25 points at the bottom of the league table after playing 30 games.

City played against Bidvest Wits on the last day of Absa Premiership, in which they failed to grab a crucial three points which they needed to scale through from the relegation zone with a 3-1 loss.

City and Larsen had a meeting on Tuesday in order to discuss the way forward for the club’s progress next season. However, Larsen concluded that he would be leaving the team because of the offer made by the club was not worth it.

Yes it’s true. Basically we met with management and I was made an offer by the club to stay on after relegation but I decided against taking the offer and declined it,” Larsen told Phakaaathi.
