The commission of inquiry into state capture is currently hearing evidence in relation to Suzanne Daniels, Eskom former company secretary on Tuesday.
On Friday, the commission heard evidence about what happened in 2015 about the controversial suspension of Eskom executives. The suspension led to an investment rating downgrade of the power utility.
Ben Ngubane, former Eskom board member confessed that it was board chair Zola Tsotsi that threw out reasons for Eskom executives’ suspension. The executives include:
- Eskom CEO Tshediso Matona,
- Director of finance Tsholofelo Molefe,
- Group capital head Dan Marokane, and
- Commercial and technology boss Matshela Koko.
