Two Fort Hare University staff members are now on suspension due to the charges they face in relation to sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
Following several incidents last month, complaints have surfaced by a student and another staff member.
Fort Hare University said as soon as the complaints came in, they acted upon it.
The student had lodged a criminal complaint and the suspended staff member related to the matter has been apprehended.
University management has gathered charges against the alleged perpetrators and by Sunday, disciplinary hearings is expected to take place.
However, investigations are still ongoing.
