Many people believe that staying active will help them lose weight, but that’s not always the case.
There are many exercises that can help you stay active but will not support you in active weight loss. They will surely make you feel more energised and active, but possibly the scale won’t move.
Here is a list of four workouts and exercises that cannot help in fat loss:
1. Yoga
Yoga works wonders in enhancing the brain function and immune system. It also helps you calm down and relax. But when it comes to fat loss, cardio with weightlifting is what works wonders.
2. Barre
No doubt, a barre workout can tone your body and improve your posture like no other workout. But the workout doesn’t help increase your heart rate or in muscle building. So, if you are trying to lose
weight and don’t want to miss your barre class, just include some cardio and
weight training in your daily routine.
3. Elliptical
An elliptical is a low impact exercise that strengthens your heart but doesn’t help your burn fat. To lose
weight, you need to practice higher impact workout like interval running, spinning or HIIT.
4. Ab workout
Just doing sit-ups will definitely tone your abs but will not help you lose overall weight. Thus, instead of doing just sit-ups or crunches, practise full-body exercises to burn fat from your entire body and get those chiselled abs.
