African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Ace Magashule is expected to meet with the provincial executive of the Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) in KwaZulu-Natal to hear their side of the story.

The meeting is to be held on Wednesday.

Magashule and the disgruntled members of the veterans association met on Tuesday.

This meeting came after MK Freedom Fighters protested several times and even attempted to shut down KZN.

They demanded that the provincial executive committee (PEC) to be dissolved, more jobs to be provided and it members welfare to be addressed.

Ever since the MKMVA PEC’s term of office expired, no conference has been held to elect new leadership.

According to ANC KZN spokesperson Nhlakanipho Ntombela, Magashule wanted to brief the PEC on Tuesday’s meeting.

“We are yet to convene the structure which allegations are being made against so that he can hear the side of that structure’s story before he can take the matter to the national officials on Monday to decide on the way forward,” Ntombela said.
