A Road Accident Fund employee who was arrested on charges of corruption has been released on bail by the court.
Hazel Mathebula was accused of seeking bribe from a consultant in a bid to fast track his payment and payout.
The complainant suspected a foul play and then reported the matter to the authorities.
She was arrested last week after a trap meeting was set up.
She was caught red-handed with the files.
She appeared briefly in the Boksburg Magistrates Court on Monday.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s Phindi Mjonondwane said:
“She was released on R4,000 bail and will be back in court on 25 November 2020 as the matter was postponed for further investigations.”
