The affected customers could expect a return of power again by 9am.
On Monday, several people woke up without electricity supply in Soweto and the Vaal.
Eskom cut off supply to a lot of communities in these parts of Gauteng as part of its “load reduction” agenda.
The utility mentioned it was avoiding a network overload in high densitu areas.
