Police have nabbed two suspects in Century City for having shucked abalone worth R7 million in their possession.
On Wednesday, officers discovered the abalone while on an intelligence operation at an apartment complex.
Frederick van Wy from the police said the suspects will come before the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged.
“Our members responded to information about abalone at an apartment complex in Century City. They found vehicles loaded with abalone in bags. They seized the vehicles with 33,000 units with abalone.”
