More support for Action SA.
More than 300 City of Joburg employees consisting of cleaners and security guards made their interest known concerning their choice of political party.
They disclosed that they want to join former Mayor Herman Mashaba’s political movement Action SA.
Mashaba was invited by the group in the Johannesburg CBD on Saturday morning.
They indicated their interest in aiding his campaign trail.
During Mashaba’s tenure as mayor, these workers became full-time employees granted of the City of Joburg.
βThe message to them is to say we hope youβve got your dignity back. This is something that we want to demonstrate to other municipalities,β Mashaba said.
Mashaba said that he was hopeful that other groups will follow this example.
