As it stands, COVID-19 related fatalities in the country close to 19,000, as the Department of Health recorded 48 new deaths in the past 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours, the Department of Health has recorded a total of 18,891 COVID-19 related fatalities in the country.
The ministry mentioned that there are more than 712,000 COVID-19 cases, after recording 1,897 new infections in the past 24 hours.
However, the recovery rate still stands steady at 90%, which means that more than 643,000 people have recuperated so far.
