We all love papayas. Many love to have it empty stomach, add it to their salad or have detox papaya juice.
It has medicinal properties and acts as an antibacterial, antifungal and antifungal. Its leaves are also commonly used to fight dengue fever.
Well, there is a not-so-good side to this beautiful fruit too. We all know how pregnant women are asked to refrain from eating papaya and pineapple.

1. Abortion risk

2. Hamper food pipe
You are convinced papaya is the best fruit for you but that does not mean you will indulge in it a bit too much. Overeating papaya can hurt your esophagus. Avoid having more than a cup of papaya in a day.
3. Birth defects
Papaya leaves have the popular component, Papain. It can be toxic for the baby and even lead to birth defects. Not much is known about its safety during breastfeeding so it’s best to avoid eating this fruit before and some time after birth
