Several others appeared alongside Bongani Bongo on various charges including corruption, fraud, and money laundering.
ANC MP and Home Affairs Portfolio Committee chair Bongani Bongo received a bail of R10,000.
Bongo and several others came before the Nelspruit Regional Court on different charges, which includes corruption, fraud and money laundering.
The allegations are said to be linked to his tenure in the Mpumalanga government.
The case was however adjourned to March next year.
In another case, Bongo is also accused of attempting to bribe the leader of the Eskom inquiry’s evidence in 2017.
By next month, he is expected to come before the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court as regards the matter.
