Zakes Bantwini has taken to his social media to share his thoughts about the country during this tough times.
The country is currently facing a pandemic which started over a year ago and things have not being the same ever since then.
He stated that the pandemic needs more than your savings to survive, it needs leadership and accountability.
It all started when a tweep stated that he has been investing for over 15 years and he is living comfortably during the pandemic as he has to sacrifice a lot.
“I’ve been investing with liberty life and sanlam for over 15 years now and I’m living comfortable now. I had to make sacrifices along the way too. It’s sad that @ZakesBantwiniSA thinks I’m trying to sound cute. I’m not that kind of person. Maybe artists need to downgrade.”
Responding to that, Zakes tackled the tweep saying the fact he has been saying for 15years means that he has been working for more than that and he should try to put himself in the shoe of someone who just started making money 3years ago.
The star said he has been making money since 2006 but he can see the impact of the pandemic on others.
“You’ve been saving for 15years which means you’ve been working for more than that, what about a person who started making money 3years ago?I am in a better position cause I’ve been making money since 2006 but that doesn’t mean I can’t see the impact this pandemic has on creatives”
