Among diet and exercising, the former plays a prime role when it comes to shedding kilos.

Even if you exercise for hours, if your diet is not good enough, you may not be able to shed kilos. For some people, even dieting does not prove to be helpful.

They do try to eat right and include more nutritious and healthy food in their diet, but small mistakes often hinder their weight loss goal.

There are three types of dieters who are often left wondering where they went wrong and what they should do to reach their fitness goals.

Do you too fall into this category? Let’s find out!

1. The confused ones

The basic mantra of living a healthy life is eating more green and nutritious foods. Along with this, several other factors influence the success of your weight loss plans like portion size, balanced plate and timing. The confused dieter focuses more on the food to eat and avoid and neglect other factors that hinder their weight loss progress. Due to a lack of complete knowledge, they do not see any progress in their weight loss journey. These people need to consider all the factors that influence weight and incorporate them into their daily routine.

2. The emotional eater

These types of dieters eat according to their feelings. If they are happy they go drinking and if they are sad they binge on chips and nuts. They may be following a diet and know the importance of dieting and mindful eating, but the problem is they often get carried away and forget about all these things. These people need to break their emotional dependency on food. Guilty eating, sugar craving, stress eating, reward eating falls under this category.

3. The food addict

These types of people do not have a clue about when to stop. Whether they are eating healthy or unhealthy food, they just go on and on. If they find a dish tasty they may overeat or indulge in binge eating. They have a hard time understanding when to stop eating, even if they are full. They do feel guilty while overeating, but they often justify their actions in their head and repeat the same. These types of dieters consume more calories than they burn in a day, leading to weight gain.
