With an increasing consciousness towards health and fitness, people are gradually making a healthy shift.

However, eating or drinking healthy also calls for spending hours in the kitchen preparing it all.

Well, in today’s fast paced life it is impossible to spend hours, and that’s where these kitchen appliances make life simple and hassle-free.

One such essential appliance is a Juicer, which can cut down hours of efforts in just 2-3 minutes.

So, if you too are planning to buy one, then here are a few smart tips that will help you zero down on the best juicer.

1. Feeder size

Whether you plan to make the juice of leafy greens, fruits or veggies, one thing that impacts it all is the size of the feeder. If you are buying an appliance for domestic use make sure that you buy a juicer with a wide feeding tube, which can accommodate whole fruits or large chunks of greens. In case of a small feeding tube, you will have to cut the fruits or veggies and then juice them in batches, which makes it a time taking process. Wide feeders reduce the time required for juicing.

2. Good motor power

Not many people emphasize on motor power while making a purchase decision, but juicers with better motor power can help in breaking down the fibers of hard fruits and veggies. The best motor power is around 700 watts, which helps in juicing whole fruits/veggies in minimum time.

3. Leftover pulp outlet

Another important thing to keep in mind while buying a juicer is to look for a better pulp ejection system. The process of juicing generates leftover pulp/ skin and roughage. Some juicers collect the roughage inside the juicer, which is often tricky to clean. If you need a juicer which can churn out large quantities of juice without stopping the device, then go for something which has an external leftover/pulp collector.

4. Watch out for speed

Traditional juicers do not have much variations when it comes to speed. So, while choosing a juicer make sure you keep in mind the speed. A good juicer has multiple speed settings. For instance: Juicing at slow speed is good for fruits that are mushy and soft, but for a hard or crunchy fruit, the juicer will end up leaving chunks. Multiple and high speed juicers are great for veggies like beetroot, carrots, cucumbers to name a few.

5. Juice container capacity

There are times when the capacity of the container is less and the juice splashes out. To avoid this always look for a juicer, which is designed in sync to match the spout. Ensure that the juicer comes with a juice container. Also keep in mind the usage and make the buying decision, but buying a juicer without a container can make the experience messy and troublesome.
