Prince Kaybee slams DJ Maphorisa’s claim on owning the masters of any song recorded in his studio.
During an Instagram live chat, the Amapiano DJ schooled people on master’s ownership of songs.
Phori said any song recorded with his tools or in his space is owned by him.
He trended over the claim, as a majority, including the controversial Nota Baloyi agreed to his claim.
However, Kaybee who has not always been on good terms with Maphorisa spoke against the claim.
“Growing up I’ve changed my beliefs. I now believe in working together on creative projects is about the IP sharing. So, someone must write a song, produce a beat and craft it and you own everything cause you bought Nando’s and lights?” DJ Prince tweeted.
A Twitter user came for Kaybee using the TNS saga.
“Mara music business yall are just screwing each other i mean TNS accused u of the similiar thing,” tweep wrote.
The DJ replied with, “I don’t think he can attest to any of those accusations, he owns all he did, you welcome to ask him.”
