AKA has announced that he will be starting his spirit brand under Cruz Vodka.
This is coming after the management released an official statement.
In the statement, Cruz said that AKA shared his ambition to create his brand under them and they are happy for him.
“He has shared his ambition to create his spirit brand with the Cruz management team. He outlined a change in his business model from AKA partner to AKA-owned brands. We appreciate his vision and agree that it’s the logical next step for him.”
“Going forward the AKA brand name will be reserved for AKA-owned products. This will happen in a phased manner from May-October 2022.”
The star confirmed the news as he also posted the statement on his Instagram.
AKA said Cruz brands will forever remain in his heart and bar as he has taken the decision to evolve his business and will be launching his spirit brand shortly.
He said his name will be removed from the Cruz Watermelon bottle, and Banana will exit in summer.
AKA wrote: “A good day in the office today- while the Cruz brands will forever remain both in my heart and my bar, I’ve taken the decision to evolve my business and will be launching my spirit brand shortly. As such my name will be removed from the Cruz Watermelon bottle, and Banana will exit in summer.
