Grammy winner Zakes Bantwini
Zakes Bantwini is excited to return to South Africa as a Grammy winner following months of anticipation.
The musicians won the Best Global Music Performance alongside Nomcebo Zikode and Wouter Kellerman, with their song Bayethe.
The trio has expressed excitement through different platforms and they will be arriving in SA this Friday.
Taking to Instagram, Zakes emphasised on the sufferings he’s gone through with his friends and colleagues to achieve the prestigious win.
“Took us close to 10 years to become an overnight success. The smartest thing we did was not giving up, or letting fear enter our hearts, or settle for anything less than our global success. We are the underdogs that came home as Grammy winners!!!”
