Big Zulu’s anticipated music concert in Durban turned out to be a big flop.
The event named, Inkabi Nation Sunday Invasion ought to take place this past Sunday, but it never came to fruition.
According to ZiMoja, it’s possible that the show didn’t occur due to the busy weekend in Durban, as there were other big shows like Durban Rocks, Cotton Fest, Max’s Lifestyle, and Anywhere In Your City that happened in DBN over the past couple of days.
However, it was revealed to the publication that the musician postponed the show.
“It was a busy weekend people were spoilt for options,” a source said, adding that the line-up was also confusing for the Durban market. “Durban crowd is hard to please, I don’t think they relate to the likes Makhadzi as we do around Gauteng and Limpopo, they still love Gqom maybe if they had mixed artists,” a source revealed.
Another source said: “People plan their lives around Durban July and pre-parties that are happening for the July weekend, not music concerts.”
