A man who attempted to snatch a four-year-old girl at a restaurant in Roodepoort, he has been arrested and now facing three charges.
Naseem Slamang will appear in court again on Thursday.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said Slamang is facing three charges which includes charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, and attempted kidnapping.
Naseem Slamang was caught on camera trying to abduct a child violently in a pizza shop in Florida on Thursday 11 September.
The 24-year-old man jumping into the restaurant’s balcony and quickly heading towards a young girl who was sitting with two women.
He immediately proceeds to grab the child by the neck but the woman was able to block him from taking the child.
Within seconds, the shop owner and a security guard stepped into the scene and rescues the victim.
He appeared in court on Friday but the court postponed his case to September 17.
