A lot of households in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal have been without electricity supply this morning after the implementation of load reduction by Eskom.
The utility said electricity would be restored by 9am.
Residents living in some parts of Soweto, Benoni, Brakpan, and Vosloorus in Gauteng and Intabazwe in Harrismith are part of the affected communities.
Implementation of so-called load reduction has been on for a while by Eskom, who said it is trying to avoid overloading in high density areas.
