Zizo Tshwete decided to voice out on the issue of Gender Based Violence (GBV).

This is coming after a 20-year-old Kwasa, was stabbed to death in the Eastern Cape on Monday, allegedly by her boyfriend.

The issue has made a lot of South African female celebrities to come out in order to help end the violence.

Zizo, who is also a victim took to her Instagram handle to tell her fans how sad and upset she was after hearing the death of Kwasa.

The activist asked men what they want women to do for them so they can stop ending their lives like they mean nothing.

“We have stood as women for too long crying out to be heard on the matter of our safety and our lives. No matter how many of OUR voices stand in unison, you don’t seem to hear us. Now we need you to tell us how to make you listen.

“To all men of South Africa – please tell us what is your commitment to seeing change?” she asked.

She went further to say women are already tired of the issue as they report to the police and nothing is done about it at the end of the day.

“And in the time I have taken to ask you this question … countless others are being beaten, raped, murdered!”

“Do all the bodies of all victims of gender-based violence need to be piled up outside the Union Buildings for everyone to know that we are in a deep crisis?”

We have stood as women for too long crying out to be heard on the matter of our safety and our lives. No matter how many of OUR voices stand in unison, you don’t seem to hear us. Now we need you to tell us how to make you listen. To all men of South Africa – please tell us WHAT IS YOUR COMMITMENT TO SEEING CHANGE? We have marched. We have reported incidents. We have written letters. We have made paintings. We have written songs. We have wept. We have pleaded. We have produced PSAs. We have spoken of our own stories. What do we do now? Now. Now. Now. Now. Now! Now! Now! Now! And in the time I have taken to ask you this question…countless others of us are being beaten, raped, murdered! Do all the bodies of all victims of gender based violence need to be piled up outside the Union Buildings for everyone to know that we are in a DEEP crisis? What do we do now? Tell us what to do to make you hear us! We will do it to save our loved ones! Today I feel defeated! Yet again, the life of a young girl taken from her before it even began. NOTHING ABOUT THIS MAKES ME PROUD TO BE SOUTH AFRICAN!
