Eastern Cape police in a statement on Thursday disclosed that a visually-impaired woman that was reported missing has been found.
The visually-impaired woman was found alive in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
The police said she was found alive but was in a critical condition but was rushed to the hospital.
According to police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu, the 34 year old Kathleen Flanagan was reported missing on August 25 after she got back from work and changed her clothes at her flat in Walmer.
Naidu said Flanagan who could see only 10% clearly left her mobile phone at home on that fateful day and also told her brother not to pick her up from work.
Flanagan was later found in a critical condition on Wednesday at the bottom of Baakens Valley.
“A volunteer search party went searching for her and found her on the footpath on the hikers’ trail.
“She was unconscious and taken to hospital for treatment,” Naidu said.
