SA Lockdown: Strict international travel rules have been announced

on

Passenger wearing protective face masks arrive from Shenzhen in China, at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, on March 2, 2020 amid concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic caused by the new coronavirus.

Strict rules will be in effect when South Africa’s borders become open to travellers from Thursday.

This is after the government proceeded to lockdown regulations for Level one.

Visitors from several African countries will be given permission into South Africa, but leisure travellers that come from COVID-19 high-risk countries will not be granted permission into South Africa.
