A cape Town toddler died in a pool in Camps bay.
The victims family is mourning the death of their three-year-old boy who drowned on Sunday.
An inquest docket have been opened by the police for further investigation surrounding the incident which happened on Sunday morning.
According to Paramedics, they arrived the scene at Camps Bay home at about 11:50am.
A woman believed to be a doctor and family member was seen performing CPR on the child when they arrived.
ER24 paramedics spokesperson Werner Vermaak said: “Paramedics immediately assisted and made every effort possible and continued with CPR.”
“Sadly, there was nothing more that could be done for the little one and he was declared dead on the scene.”
It is not clear if the toddler was swimming before he drowned or slipped and fell.
Also, the time the little boy spent submerged in the pool is yet to be determined.
