An on-duty traffic officer who was attending to victims of a crime scene has been murdered in a crash close to Worcester.
This happened on the R43 between Villiersdorp and Worcester on Thursday.
The Western Cape Transport Department has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family of the 27-year old traffic officer.
According to reports, the official got involved in a head-on collision when he was responding to the scene of an accident.
He succumbed to death while on his way to a hospital.
A man and a woman also got murdered in this same crash.
A third victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment.
