On Friday, a 34-year-old woman came before the court for allegedly involved in defrauding Eskom electricity that was worth about R300,000.
She came before King Williams Town Magistrate’s Court.
In March this year, an investigation into the matter began, in cooperation with Eskom.
It was established that since 2018, the woman has been operating for a Gauteng-based syndicate, with clients reaching as far as the Western Cape.
However, the matter has been adjourned to 30 November.
