Actor Lee Jung-Jae is rumored to have demanded over 1 million dollars in guarantee per episode.
According to Dispatch, “Netflix cannot afford to overlook Lee Jung Jae’s request,” and emphasized, “Lee Jung Jae asked Netflix seeking a substantial guarantee of over 1 million dollars per episode, which means his appearance fees will amount to a staggering total of over 13 million dollars (given the 13 episodes).”
The rumor has triggered lots of reactions and garnered attention from people across the globe.
While a few supported him due to the fact that he was the lead actor for season 1, others frowned at the demand.
However, the actor is yet to give a statement in response to the rumor.
Netflix has announced Squid Game season 2 and revealed that along with the OG star cast, which includes Lee Jung-jae, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo and Lee Byung-hun, several new faces have joined the ensemble cast.
Which mean the actors were paid peanuts initially, if the whole season cost 21 mil
Except They were paid loyalties after making 900 mil, they’re right to demand huge payout this time.— Aproko Neighbor (@MrEbukka) June 30, 2023
